Project “Strengthening capacities of farmers for cultivation of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (MAPs) through transfer of knowledge and good practices” or short acronym CuLT, with support of National Agency for European Educational Programmes and Mobility in frame of ERAZMUS + program, was realized in 11 March 2016 for interested stakeholders in chain of cultivation of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (MAPs) from Republic of Macedonia.

The target of workshop was to identified educational needs of producers of MAP`s in the country, and possibilities for development of this sector through building regional connections among producers, processors and traders of MAP`s, their exchange of experience, knowledge and joint appearance on international markets.

Invited and present were representatives from MAP` producers, processors and traders, mainly from wild collection sector who are interested in cultivation of MAP`s, educational institutions, organizations and traders. Present were also project partners “Bioselena” and “American Farm School” from CuLT.
Discussion after presentation part was address to actual problems in regional countries connected to cultivation of MAP`s, and gave clear picture of needs for development of sector. That should be realized through organized capacity building for education of producers, publishing professional literature for technology of cultivation MAP`s, networking of all stakeholders in value chains, and public information and promotion. The requests and needs of participants were incorporated in project activities and will be realized in 2016 and 2017 year.
